Interaction with Community
Bhartiya Jan Sewa Ashram secretary interacted with Mushars in Sarai Gaura village in Maharajganj block of Jaunpur district. Such interactions are like a proactive and constructive approach to the development of Mushars who are at lowest rung of Dalit society.
Direct engagement with Mushar families helped the organisation with a better understanding of their needs and challenges. It also helped in building trust and fostering a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
During the meeting, practical steps like maintaining hygiene and regularly sending children to school were discussed as these are fundamental aspects of community well-being. Improving hygiene can lead to better health outcomes, while regular school attendance can enhance educational attainment and future opportunities.
The community members were exhorted to send their children to the pre-school centres which were effectively meeting the needs of the community. They were told that adequate nourishment was being provided at the centres. Providing nourishment was crucial for the overall effectiveness of the pre-school centres and the well-being of the children.
Overall, such discussions and interactions are key to fostering community engagement and collaboration. They not only provide practical solutions but also encourage a sense of ownership and responsibility among the community members, contributing to sustainable development and improved living conditions.
