Organisation Development

The organisation has a full time staff of 14 and part time staff of 20 people. Its office is well furnished with adequate furniture and fixtures, computers, and training infrastructure. Management information system (MIS) is followed in the organisation and the accounts are audited by a Chartered Accountant.

To uplift the dalits and other disadvantaged groups and to include them in the mainstream of development, there is need for their empowerment. Therefore, to ensure people’s participation, Bhartiya Jan Sewa Ashram has formed and strengthened community based organisations (CBOs) and associations at the local level. It has strengthened the following CBOs:

  • Mahila Mukti Morcha
  • Dalit Vikas Sangh
  • UP Bhumi Sudhar Evam Shram Adhikar Abhiyan
  • Dalit Action Group, UP
  • Bhumi Sangharsh Samiti, Jaunpur

These CBOs work together with PRIs and gram sabhas for the development of the region. During their meetings they discuss the issues related to NREGS, enrolment of children in schools, ration card, right to work, etc.
