Meeting with Advocates
A meeting with advocates from the Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Advocates’ Forum Sultanpur Unit was held recently. The meeting highlighted several key aspects of their work and collaboration with Bhartiya Jan Sewa Ashram.
The advocates’ role in fact-finding of atrocities committed against Dalits and providing free legal counselling is crucial. It helps in documenting abuses, offering legal support to victims, and ensuring that justice is sought.
They monitor the progress of cases pending at various stages of resolution. Such monitoring ensures that legal proceedings are followed up effectively and that victims receive the support they need throughout the legal process.

Regular training sessions are conducted by Bhartiya Jan Sewa Ashram, in collaboration with organisations like the National Dalit Movement for Justice (NDMJ) and the Association for Advocacy and Legal Initiatives (AALI).
